FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- What films are eligible for Celluloid Soup 2010?
Celluloid Soup is open to all. No limits on age, nationality, religion, marital status or football team. Please be aware that although anyone can enter if you are not on theme you will not be considered for screening at the Gala.
- What length of film may be submitted?
7 minutes maximum including credits. If you want to waste your time you can send in a movie longer than 7 minutes.
- What material should I submit?
1 Completed entry form
2 Payment ($30 per film) cheque or money order made payable to “Jewish Museum – Celluloid Soup.
3 Preview copy of film on DVD (please ensure DVD is not copy-protected, as multiple copies may need to be made for judging).
4 At least two stills.
Preferred submission for stills is in electronic format. If stills are submitted on disc, please ensure resolution is at least 300 DPI and as large as possible. Material will not be accepted via email.

- Publicity material (ie reviews, press kits etc)

- What is the entry fee?
$30.00 including GST applies to each film submitted
- What formats can be screened at the Festival?
Copies for judging can only be sent in on DVD. All other formats will be disregarded. NB: Don’t be a hero, send in a DVD only!
- When will selection be confirmed?
If your film is selected for the competition you will be sent a congratulatory email early in October.
You will be asked to send in a MiniDV of your work. Please do so.
- Will my material be returned?
No. Go on ask me again… Same answer no!
