CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Closing date for entries: 4.00pm on Tuesday 17 August 2010.
- Viewing copies on DVD (TV format PAL, Regional Code – All Regions, can be recorded on DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R or DVD+RW, not DVR-RAM) format together with signed and completed entry form and entry fee of $30.00 (cheques made payable to the “Jewish Museum-Celluloid Soup”) Jewish Museum of Australia, 26 Alma Road, St Kilda Vic. 3182) must be submitted. Extra viewing copies may be required.
Please do not submit original prints of your film with your completed entry form.
- Entries shall be limited to a maximum of seven minutes duration including titles and credits. Films of less than seven minutes may be submitted.
- All films must be based on or related to the theme “Kosher Lovin’ ”
- Submissions of one or more films will be accepted from each participant. Each film must be treated as a separate entry, which will have its own entry form, entry fee, and colour or black and white stills included.
- Please clearly label all viewing tapes with your name, address, daytime and after hours phone numbers and title of the entry.
- Insurance of the submitted preview tape and screening copies of the film or video is the responsibility of the entrant.
- Please include at least 2 colour or black & white (if applicable) stills for publicity purposes with your entry form. Images should either be provided as high resolution jpegs or pdfs, provided on a disc and clearly labelled.
- All non-English-language entries must have English subtitles for preview and for Festival presentation.
- It is the onus of the film-maker to comply with all copyright laws and obtain any necessary authorization concerning material contained in the film. The film-maker agrees to indemnify The Celluloid Soup Film Festival for any action pertaining to such copyright material.
- The Celluloid Soup Film Festival will take all care with submitted preview tapes and screening copies of the film however shall have no liability whatsoever for any damage that may occur to the submitted preview tapes and screening copies of the film whether such damage arises from the negligence of its employees, servants or agents o
By submitting a film for entry to this competition each entrant agrees that:
- Their film may be screened at a Gala Screening Night and such other screenings by any means including Internet, television, cable, cinema, as The Celluloid Soup Film Festival in its sole discretion deems appropriate.
- Their film will be judged by a panel of Judges selected by The Celluloid Soup Film Festival in its absolute discretion
- Monetary prizes may be awarded by the judges in their sole discretion. No correspondence regarding the judges’ decision shall be entered into.
- The Celluloid Soup Film Festival reserves the right not to screen any particular entry and not to submit a particular entry to the panel of Judges if, in the absolute discretion of the Jewish Museum of Australia, it does not adhere to the topic – or contains material sexist, exploitative or without limiting the foregoing, otherwise offensive.
